6 Things We Love About Cats

December 1, 2021

December is a pretty important month for our feline friends: it’s Cat Lovers’ Month. While we don’t need any special occasions to show kitties love and affection, this is a purrfect opportunity to sing Fluffy’s praises. A veterinarian lists some reasons to love cats in this article from Arapahoe Animal Hospital, your Boulder, CO vet, serving Louisville and surrounding areas.

They’re Cute

All animals are charming in their own way. However, Fluffy certainly is one of our most adorable animal companions. It’s hard to resist that furry little face!

They’re Clean

One of the best things about our feline buddies is the fact that they are naturally very clean. Fluffy will groom herself daily, and will use her own private litterbox to do her business. There’s a lot to be said for having a pet that’s such a neat roommate!

They’re Fun

Kitties are quite amusing, and they have a special way of keeping us entertained. Whether your pet is pouncing on a catnip toy, meowing to complain about something, or just lounging around, your furry buddy will keep you smiling.

Perfect Size

We love all of our patients, from the tiniest hamster to our larger canine buddies. However, a Great Dane can’t really fit on your lap very well and it’s hard to cuddle with a gerbil. Fluffy fits perfectly into our laps and arms!

Sleep Aids

Fluffy certainly is tired: cats can sleep as much as 16 hours a day. These drowsy furballs are more than happy to share their napping skills. Cuddling up with a purring kitty is very relaxing!

Kitty Wisdom

Our feline pals actually have some pretty major life lessons to teach us. Fluffy is an adorable, entertaining reminder of how important it is to get enough sleep and keep up with your personal grooming. She also likes to set good examples for things like meditating, relaxing, and keeping (somewhat) active.

Purrs And Cuddles

Cats have some pretty adorable ways of expressing affection. When Fluffy hops into your lap or rubs her forehead on your arm, there’s no mistaking her behavior for anything other than kitty love. And that adoring expression our furry friends sometimes get when they look at their humans can really melt hearts!
