There’s a special kitty holiday coming up. November 29th is National Cat Day! Of course, if you were to ask Fluffy, she would probably insist that every day is National Cat Day, and she wouldn’t exactly be wrong. However, this is a great time to give your furball some extra attention, and really get that little motor going. In this article from Arapahoe Animal Hospital, your Boulder, CO vet clinic, serving Louisville and surrounding areas, a vet lists some ways to pamper your kitty.
Toys
Kitties are always adorable when they are getting excited over a new toy. Get your furry pal a new catnip mouse or plastic ball to bat around. This is also a great chance to play with Fluffy, and spend some time with her.
Treats
If there’s one thing all of our four-legged patients have in common, it’s the fact that they love treats. Offer Fluffy something special, like a can of tuna in water or some cooked, plain meat, fish, or chicken.
Veterinary Appointment
It’s probably safe to say that Fluffy would scratch this one right off the list if she could. However, coming to see us is definitely in her best interests!
New Bed
Our sleepy feline pals are always on the hunt for comfy new napping spots. Get Fluffy a new bed to look adorable in!
Purrniture
Does Fluffy have some furniture of her own? If not, buy or make her something to suit her needs. If you’re tight on cash, go the DIY route and make something. Look online for ideas.
Window Seat
Cats love watching birds and squirrels. Offer your furry little voyeur a comfy spot where she can do what she does best: relax and stare at things.
Cuddles
Kitties are great cuddle buddies, and they are always happiest when they feel loved. Spend some time with Fluffy, and offer her lots of ear scritches and cuddles.
Photos
Take a few minutes to snap some cute pics of your furball. There’s just no such thing as too many cat photos!
Donations
Is your furry buddy already a pampered little princess? If so, consider helping a less fortunate kitty. Donate money or supplies to a local animal shelter or charity.
