Pet overpopulation is a huge problem, and one that is taking up a lot of resources. There are already far too many adorable dogs and cats out there in desperate need of good homes. Is Fluffy ignoring that expensive multi-level cat tower you got her? Donate it to an animal shelter. No point in letting it go to waste! Another thing you can do is repurpose old things into kitty furniture. That old stepladder can make a great cat tower! (Your furball may still ignore it, but that’s besides the point.)
